Worse Than the Premiere
The second episode is entertaining enough to keep watching, but excessive gore, repetitive jokes, and inconsistent supernatural elements make it weaker than the premiere.

Better Than Expected, But Still Finding Its Identity
A surprisingly decent premiere that embraces its Rick and Morty roots while carving out a slightly more PG tone.
