Summary — Halfway through the episode I nearly quit the show, but the darker late-season shift and rising tension were enough to pull me back in.
★★★☆☆
For most of Season 2, the acting-class storyline in Barry felt way less interesting than the crime side of the show. Halfway through this episode, I honestly thought I might stop watching altogether because the pacing felt slow and the emotional material wasn’t really landing for me.
But toward the end, the show finally shifted gears. The tension started building again, the story got more focused, and it reminded me why I kept watching in the first place. I’m still not fully sold on the acting arc, but the darker tone and stronger momentum at the end were enough to get me to watch another episode.
This episode feels like a turning point: either the show pulls you back in here, or it probably never will.
