Season 1 of Rooster isn’t groundbreaking television, but it’s an easy, genuinely enjoyable watch. The pacing stays strong throughout the season, and even when the story plays things safely, the characters are engaging enough to keep you invested. I rarely finish full seasons of shows anymore, but I got through this one without losing interest, which says a lot on its own. It may not reinvent the genre, but it knows exactly what kind of show it wants to be.
