The Mummy

Mindless Fun at Its Best

Summary — Brendan Fraser charm, practical adventure energy, and a script that knows exactly what kind of fun it wants to be.

The Mummy is not a perfect movie in a technical sense, but it is nearly perfect at being a good time. Fraser and Rachel Weisz carry the whole thing with warmth and timing, and the tomb-adventure texture still works even when some CGI shows its age. Four stars and permanently in the comfort-watch rotation.
