Summary — A disappointing shift toward slower character drama and emotionally draining storytelling that loses the dark comedy energy of earlier episodes.
★★☆☆☆
Episode 6 feels like the point where the show fully shifts away from the mix of dark comedy and crime drama that originally made it so entertaining. The focus on Barry developing as an actor just isn’t very engaging to me, and the pacing has started to drag because of it. Even the NoHo Hank storyline hasn’t been as enjoyable lately. A lot of the characters now feel constantly frustrated or emotionally drained, which makes the show heavier without necessarily making it more interesting. I can understand what the series is going for, but this episode left me feeling more disconnected than invested. I’ll probably give the show one more episode to see if it picks up again, but right now my interest is definitely fading.
