It's been a while since I've watched Jumanji but it's one of those movies that just sticks with you. The whole concept of a board game that pulls the jungle into the real world is so creative and fun. From the moment the kids find the game in the attic and hear those drums, you know you're in for a ride.
Robin Williams is great in it — he brings the humor and the heart that the movie needs. But what really makes Jumanji work for me is the adventure. The stampedes, the monsoon, all the jungle chaos spilling into this small town — it's pure fun. There's a sense of wonder and danger that keeps the whole thing moving.
No real complaints here. It's just a really enjoyable adventure movie with a killer concept and Robin Williams doing what he does best. A classic that earned its spot.
