Summary — A solid episode overall, but an inconsistent villain and uneven tone hold it back.
I've been enjoying Widows Bay overall, but Episode 7 felt like an odd detour. My biggest issue was the main villain. He came across as strangely goofy, and the episode never really explained what he was supposed to be. He speaks modern English, eats, and acts almost like a normal person at times, but the show never establishes whether he's a zombie, something supernatural, or something else entirely.
Because of that, the episode's internal logic felt shaky. More than anything, the tone seemed off—different characters felt like they belonged in different kinds of shows, which made the whole episode feel a little inconsistent.
The rest of the episode was fine and the series is still good overall, but this one left me with more confusion than excitement.
